Xerxes Wania, President and CEO

Xerxes Wania has over 15 years of experience in marketing, sales and engineering in the semiconductor intellectual property industry. He was most recently the Director of Mixed-Signal Marketing at Synopsys (Nasdaq: SNPS) where he was involved in marketing and business development activities for Synopsys' mixed-signal semiconductor IP products. Prior to Synopsys, Xerxes was the President of inSilicon Canada and Vice President of Mixed-Signal Business for inSilicon (Nasdaq: INSN) worldwide. inSilicon was a semiconductor IP market leader before being acquired by Synopsys in 2002. Xerxes successfully grew inSilicon Canada into a profitable business and in 2001 was listed among the Top 50 Canada's Hottest Startups. Xerxes was also previously the founder and CEO of Xentec Inc, a successful Intellectual Property company in Ontario, Canada.
Wlodek Kurjanowicz, Founder and CTO

With over 25 years of IC design and manufacturing experience, Wlodek Kurjanowicz has lead numerous design, design automation and design analysis groups. In 2003 he founded Sidense Corp. with a vision to build a reliable NVM solution for sub 100nm CMOS technologies. In 1998 he co-founded ATMOS Corp., the embedded memory IP company, which he lead as its Chief Technology Officer to become the world leading provider of embedded DRAM compilers. Wlodek became a Mosys Fellow following the ATMOS acquisition by Mosys Inc. (Nasdaq: MOSY) in 2002. Prior to that, he managed the Design Analysis Group and held the position of Senior Technical Advisor at Chipworks, and was a Member of Technical Staff at Semiconductor Insights Inc. He also held various IC Design Manager and IC Technology Manager positions in a Polish semiconductor plant. He holds six patents in addition to several pending applications in the memory IP space.
Kenneth MacAskill, CFO

Kenneth MacAskill is our Chief Financial Officer and is responsible for Sidense’s financial and administrative activities. He is a Chartered Accountant with over 15 years of senior management experience working in a range of businesses and industries ranging from start-ups to publically listed companies. Prior to joining Sidense, Ken was the Chief Financial Officer for various Ottawa, Canada-based software companies including Watchfire and Third Brigade. Third Brigade was acquired by Trend Micro in May, 2009 and Watchfire was acquired by IBM in July, 2007. Ken was also previously the VP of Finance at Alliance Atlantis Communications, a $600 million company listed on both the TSX and NASDAQ and a Senior Manager within the assurance practice of PricewaterhouseCoopers in Toronto. Ken is a graduate of St. Francis Xavier University, Nova Scotia.
Tomasz Wojcicki, VP of Engineering

Tomasz Wojcicki is a semiconductor industry veteran with over 23 years of experience in integrated circuit design and development, project management and functional management. For the last 14 years he has worked for Mosaid Technologies Inc. (TSE: MSD), managing the engineering organization and supervising development of a family of Classification products. Prior to that, Tomasz spent several years as Project Manager and Project Leader and played an instrumental role in growing the Design Service into a multi-million dollar business at Mosaid. Prior to working for Mosaid, Tomasz spent 8 years at the Institute of Electron Technology in Warsaw, Poland in progressively more responsible roles. He holds six patents granted and co-authored several publications.
Todd Humes, VP of Product Engineering

Todd Humes brings over 20 years of engineering and management experience to Sidense. Following the acquisition of Impinj’s IP group, he was Senior Director of Engineering at Virage Logic for the Embedded NVM Group. Prior to working at Virage Logic, Mr. Humes joined Impinj at its inception and served as Chief Technical Officer and, later, Vice President of Engineering for IP products. Mr. Humes was also responsible for Impinj’s patenting efforts, serving as the head of its Intellectual Property team and building Impinj’s patent portfolio to well over 80 patents and 150 patent applications. Before Impinj, he held several management and engineering positions at TRW. Mr. Humes earned his M.S. in Electrical Engineering from the California Institute of Technology and B.S. in Electrical Engineering from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo. He currently holds 38 United States patents and has numerous U.S. and foreign patent applications.
Tom Schild, VP of Worldwide Sales

Tom Schild has more than 20 years of semiconductor experience, most recently at Virage Logic where he was VP of Sales for Asia. Prior to working at Virage, he was Senior Director of Business Development and Marketing for the NVM business unit of Impinj. Mr. Schild has also held executive sales and marketing positions at BSQUARE, where he managed a team of 60 people and was responsible for the BSQUARE sales organization and international operations. At Digital Equipment, he led a team responsible for the worldwide technical marketing and software development of StrongARM solutions for the portable market. Prior to Digital Equipment, he was responsible at VLSI Technology for worldwide marketing of ARM processor cores to internal and external customers, including two years of international experience working in Munich. Mr. Schild has a BSEE from Purdue University.
Rhéal Gervais, VP of Operations

Rhéal Gervais brings over 25 years of semiconductor design, technical management, business development, design services sales, delivery and business management experience to Sidense. After starting the first decade of his career with Mitel Semiconductor, Rhéal spent over 3 years at ATI Technologies in Toronto, eventually becoming the Senior Manager of ASIC Technology and CAD. He then joined Cadence Design Systems as a Solutions Architect, and was personally responsible for over $10M in design services sales and delivery over a 3 year period, eventually becoming the North American East Coast Director of Solutions Architects. He was most recently co-founder and Director of Engineering at Intevis Corporation, an ASIC design services company headquartered in the US, spending almost 10 years in design services delivery, project management, business development and sales.
