The CAD Engineer will work to improve the efficiency of a world-class team of hard memory IP developers by developing design automation tools, providing CAD support, performing quality assurance of hard memory IP, and automating various database manipulations.
Education/Experience:
New graduate in B.Eng. in Electrical Engineering, B.Sc. in Computer science or higher (work experience in the semiconductor field an asset).
Skills:
- Programming skills required; familiarity with web-based applications (PHP, Javascript, Java, XML, CSS, wiki formatting), SVN and Trac, SQL an asset.
- Familiarity with CentOS/Red Hat an asset.
- Knowledge of regular expressions and command-line tools strongly
preferred: find, grep, awk, perl programming, shell scripting.
- Proficient in common office applications (MS Office, OpenOffice) required.
- Detail and process-oriented.
- Good team player and can work under minimal supervision.
- Good communication skills.
Responsibilities:

- Data collection, organization, reporting, entry and management of operational and technical data.
- QA automation and management.
- File and documentation management.
