Coop Student, Summer Student or New Grad Opportunity!

Role Summary:
The coop student, summer student or new grad will be responsible for developing Perl and other scripts and programs for Design Automation in Engineering and Operations. The successful candidate will focus on the support, development & automation of QA flows & PDK (Foundry design kits) for Sidense's Operations group, by developing a number of software routines and scripts.

Sidense provides secure, very dense and reliable non-volatile, one-time programmable (OTP) memory IP for use in standard-logic CMOS processes with no additional masks or process steps required and no impact on product yield. The Company's innovative one-transistor 1T-Fuse™ architecture provides the industry's smallest footprint, most reliable and lowest power Logic Non-Volatile Memory (NVM) IP solution. With over 70 patents granted or pending, Sidense OTP provides a field-programmable alternative solution to Flash, mask ROM and eFuse in many OTP and MTP applications.

Sidense OTP memory, embedded in over 100 customer designs, is available from 180nm down to 40nm and is scalable to 28nm and below. The IP is offered at and has been adopted by all top-tier semiconductor foundries and selected IDMs. Customers are using Sidense OTP for analog trimming, code storage, encryption keys such as HDCP, WHDI, RFID and Chip ID, medical, automotive, and configurable processors and logic.


Required Qualifications:

  • At least completed third year, or graduate from the following programs: BS/MS Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or Computer Science
  • 1 year industry experience
  • 3 years minimum programming skills in Perl or PHP, C/C++ or Java, and shell programming in a Linux environment.
  • Experience in development and/or debugging of analog and/or digital circuits
  • Experience with CAD tools for circuit simulation, layout and design rule checking (Mentor, Cadence, or other)
  • MySQL or other database experience
  • Demonstrated software development skills
  • A demonstrated ability to be a quick learner, and have lots of initiative
  • A demonstrated ability to be a keen and resourceful problem solver
  • A high level of attention to detail and quality, and the ability to be tenacious and pragmatic
  • Good analytical skills and the ability to look beyond the obvious
  • The ability to be a good team player with excellent communication skills
  • Provide project estimates for requirements, designs, implementations and testing
  • Experience preparing technical documentation
