Xerxes Wania, President and CEO

Xerxes Wania has over 25 years of experience in marketing, sales and engineering in the semiconductor intellectual property industry. Before founding Sidense, he was the Director of Mixed-Signal Marketing at Synopsys where he was involved in marketing and business development activities for Synopsys' mixed-signal semiconductor IP products. Prior to Synopsys, Xerxes was the President of inSilicon Canada and Vice President of Mixed-Signal Business for inSilicon worldwide. inSilicon was a semiconductor IP market leader before being acquired by Synopsys in 2002. Xerxes successfully grew inSilicon Canada into a profitable business and in 2001 was listed among the Top 50 Canada's Hottest Startups. Xerxes was also previously the founder and CEO of Xentec Inc, acquired by inSilicon.

Wlodek Kurjanowicz, Founder and CTO

With over 30 years of IC design and manufacturing experience, Wlodek Kurjanowicz has lead numerous design, design automation and design analysis groups. In 2003 he founded Sidense Corp. with a vision to build a reliable NVM solution for sub 100nm CMOS technologies. In 1998 he co-founded ATMOS Corp., the embedded memory IP company, which he lead as its Chief Technology Officer to become the world leading provider of embedded DRAM compilers. Wlodek became a Mosys Fellow following the ATMOS acquisition by Mosys Inc. (Nasdaq: MOSY) in 2002. Prior to that, he managed the Design Analysis Group and held the position of Senior Technical Advisor at Chipworks, and was a Member of Technical Staff at Semiconductor Insights Inc. He also held various IC Design Manager and IC Technology Manager positions in a Polish semiconductor plant. He holds six patents in addition to several pending applications in the memory IP space.

Ken Wagner, Senior Vice President Engineering

Ken Wagner
Dr. Ken Wagner has over 25 years experience in electronic systems as a hardware and embedded software engineer, researcher and senior manager in Silicon Valley, New York and Canada. Ken was previously with PMC-Sierra as their Vice-President of Engineering for Communication Products, Distinguished Engineer and Design Services Director. He also lead PMC's low-power initiatives for storage and telecom products. Previously, Ken worked as Design and DFT Director for several Silicon Valley fabless IC startups designing video, graphics and imaging devices. And at Synopsys, he managed software CAD development. At IBM, he was a Senior Engineer in EDA, consulting worldwide for IBM product development. Early in his career he designed mainframes at Amdahl. Ken was Editor-In-Chief of IEEE Design and Test of Computers. He holds multiple patents from his employers including a First Plateau Patent award from IBM Corporation. Ken is a Senior Member of the IEEE, a Golden Core Member of the IEEE Computer Society and an IEEE CAS member. Ken spent 1992 as an AAAS Congressional Science Fellow in Washington, DC. He received his Ph.D in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University. Ken is also an Adjunct Professor of ECE at McGill University. He teaches, consults and trains engineering professionals at IEEE/ACM conferences and other events.

Tomasz Wojcicki, VP of Customer Engineering Support

Tomasz Wojcicki is a semiconductor industry veteran with over 30 years of experience in integrated circuit design and development, project management and functional management. Tomasz has been with Sidense Corp. - the leading provider of One Time Programmable (OTP) Non Volatile Memory (NVM) Solutions – from its inception. He previously held the role of VP of Engineering. Prior to joining Sidense, he spent 14 years with Mosaid Technologies Inc. as a Director responsible for development of a family of Classification Products based on Dynamic and Static Content Addressable Memories (CAM), as a Project Manager and Project Leader responsible for the design of Embedded-DRAM Memory IPs, and played instrumental role in growing MOSAID’s Design Services into a multi-million dollar business. Tomasz started his carrier in early 1980s at the Institute of Electron Technology in Warsaw, Poland in progressively more responsible roles. He graduated with MSEE degree from Warsaw Technical University. He holds six patents, authored and co-authored several publications.

Tom Schild, VP of Worldwide Sales

Tom Schild has more than 25 years of global semiconductor experience, and has Worldwide Sales at Sidense since 2008.  Prior to joining Sidense, Tom worked with Virage Logic where he was VP of Sales for Asia, and as Senior Director of Business Development and Marketing for the NVM business unit of Impinj. Tom has also held executive sales and marketing positions at BSQUARE, where he managed a team of 60 people and was responsible for the BSQUARE sales organization and international operations, and at Digital Equipment, he led a team responsible for the worldwide technical marketing and software development of StrongARM solutions for the portable market. Prior to Digital Equipment, he was responsible at VLSI Technology for worldwide marketing of ARM processor cores to internal and external customers, including two years of international experience working in Munich. Tom has a BSEE from Purdue University.

Bob Daly, Chief Financial Officer

Bob Daly has more than 30 years of private sector experience, predominantly in high tech. Bob joined Sidense in 2015. Prior to joining Sidense, he held the role of CFO Klocwork Inc. where he oversaw the successful sale of the company to RogueWave Software. Prior to that, Bob served as the Chief Financial Officer of Espial Group Inc., where he guided the company's 2007 Initial Public Offering. He has also held senior finance positions with Cognos Inc. and JDS Uniphase Corporation, and has provided corporate finance, business strategy and operational advice to a number of early-stage Canadian technology companies, a quasi-crown corporation and a major Canadian financial institution. In addition, he has served as the Corporate Controller of the Ottawa Senators Hockey Club. Bob is a Chartered Accountant and holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Mount Allison University.
