Executive Opinion: A Message from Sidense's New CFO
Ken MacAskill, CFO, Sidense
I am very excited to be part of the Sidense team. Having worked at several venture-based companies over the past 10 years, I believe Sidense is well positioned for success. The company, by assembling first-class development and executive management teams, has developed and delivered innovate, best of breed, and market-leading technology. Already the company has generated significant momentum within the NVM market, establishing strong relationships with Tier I partners and customers, which will pave the way for solid and immediate revenue growth.
Outside Thoughts: The Case for Marketing as a Recovery Ingredient
Charles Byers, Managing Director, Business Practicum
The entire semiconductor value chain ... IP included ... has reached a critical juncture in its history. It is a point reached not because its engineers cannot find a technology innovation to overcome an insurmountable challenge, but rather because its companies do not have the capital or the borrowing power to do so.
Customer Corner: Next generation amplifiers deliver months of battery-powered audio
Audium uses OTP memory to reach unprecedented levels of efficiency
Huw Davies, Chief Commercial Officer, Audium Semiconductor
A new breed of ultra efficient audio amplifier has been created which, at normal listening levels, is more than 20 times more efficient than the next best amplifier technology, Class D, and does not compromise audio quality. Indeed, the new standard of amplifier technology is so efficient that, under typical usage conditions, a wireless speaker running for three hours per day would last for 10 months before its four 1.5V C-size batteries would need a recharge.
